Michael DalSanto for Judge
Candidate for Licking County Probate-Juvenile Court Judge
Paid for by Michael DalSanto for Judge
Today, I filed my petitions to run for Licking County Juvenile/Probate Court Judge, a court that handles some of the hardest situations families ever face.
I’ve spent a lot of time practicing in juvenile court, and I care deeply about doing that work well. I also teach American Government at Watkins Memorial High School, where I spend my days talking about responsibility, the law, and how our system is supposed to work.
In fact, before I filed, I asked my students what they thought. Most of them said I should go for it. A few asked if this meant less homework.
If any of them are reading this, homework will continue at current levels. But I will say that I’m very excited to get started on this campaign.

I want to congratulate Judge George on his win last night. I sincerely wish him the best as he continues serving the people of Licking County.
Running this campaign has been an incredible experience. I'm grateful first and foremost to Julie Manning for all her support during this campaign. I couldn't have done any of this without her. I'm also thankful that I had the opportunity to meet so many inspiring people throughout the county, and I'm happy that I was able to give the voters of Licking County a choice in this important election.
I'll be out picking up yard signs this week. If you have a small sign, please feel free to dispose of it. If you have a big sign, I'll be taking them down after school this week.
Thanks to everyone who supported me, whether it was with your vote, a donation, attending an event, or even just interacting with a post. It's not the result I was hoping for, but the kindness and support I experienced throughout this campaign will stick with me for a long time. -MRD

As you head out today, it's hard to put into words how proud and grateful I am for this journey. I've worked hard to earn your vote! Over the past many months, our team has:
– Walked in 6 parades around the county
– Shared more than 10,000 pieces of campaign literature
– Hosted three community events attended by over 100 people
– Knocked on thousands of doors
– Chased 2,593 absentee ballots with a personal letter
– Placed 45 4×8 signs and over 300 yard signs
– Logged hundreds of volunteer hours
– Grown from 0 to 1,820 social media followers
– Had over 274,000 Facebook views
– And made countless new friends who deeply care this community
This campaign has never been about red or blue – it’s been about showing up, listening, and working for everyone. From classrooms to courthouses to front porches, we’ve built something real together – a movement grounded in fairness, empathy, and everyday problem-solving.
Thank you to every volunteer who walked a parade route, placed a yard sign, made a call, or shared a post. Thank you to everyone who believed that the court should work for people, not politics.
No matter what happens next, I’ll always carry this experience with deep gratitude and pride. Here's a few fun memories from the campaign.
The polls are open today until 7:30 pm! It's time to vote DalSanto for Judge!

Just hung up the last door hanger as the sun went down.
Over the past several months, I’ve had the privilege of meeting and working with so many incredible people. I want to thank everyone who’s supported this campaign: from volunteers who gave their time, to neighbors who took a moment to talk with me at their door, to my students who always seemed to know when I needed a word of encouragement.
Tomorrow is Election Day. Don’t forget to get out and vote!

Before you cast your ballot for Licking County Municipal Court Judge, take a moment to learn where each candidate stands.
Throughout this campaign, Judge George and I have each shared our priorities for how the court should serve our community. The Newark Advocate recently asked both of us why we believe we’re the best candidate for the position, and we also had the opportunity to present our views in person at the Watkins Memorial High School Candidate Forum.
Before you vote, take a few minutes to hear from both candidates. You can read our responses below or watch our remarks from the WMHS forum.

It’s a great chance to hear directly from each of us, unfiltered and in our own words, and decide for yourself who you believe will best serve the community.
Early voting is happening now and polls will be open on Tuesday, November 4 from 6:30 AM to 7:30 PM.
No matter how you vote, being informed and involved strengthens our local courts and our community.
